SEI Shot Thousands of Rounds Through Our Sound Suppressor on the MK48 and MK46 Machine Guns

Ron and Andy went out to a Naval Base in California with some Special Operations forces to try out our Wind Talker sound suppressor on the MK48 and MK46 machine guns.  We also put it on an M4 and shot 7 magazines through it on 3 round burst and full auto.  Most sound suppressor have back pressure issues because they are too small or the blow wide open because they are not rugged enough and cannot withstand the heat, but our suppressor held up even though we put thousands of rounds through them.

The SEI Wind Talker passed with all flying colors.  We had a Larson Davis sound meter there and were able to test the decibel reduction - and we can't publish how much, but it was significant!  Also, we were able to fire 120 rounds through the MK46 and MK48 on full auto with no issues to our Wind Talker sound suppressor.  Below are some pictures and videos.

Andy Shoots the New 5.56 mm Wind Talker Prototype

This sound suppressor is the 1080 LW version of our new 5.56 mm prototype. It includes a new internal baffling system. As we continue to test these and make upgrades and changes we will post videos so you can see the progress. We are very happy with how this Wind Talker is improving.

In both instances we are shooting M4 5.56 mm 62 Gr. Green Tip Supersonic Ammo. The barrel is a 16 inch barrel. The first set of rounds is unsuppressed and the second set is suppressed.

Andy Shoots SEI New Version of Wind Talker on a Colt 9 mm Sub Machine Gun

We are improving the Wind Talker Sound Suppressor. We are improving the internal components. Can't get into too much detail on here as it is proprietary, but we are very pleased with how the testing is going! The video Andy shoots the Colt Defense 9 mm Sub Machine Gun with 115 Gr Unsupressed, 115 Gr Suppressed, and 147 Sub Sonic Suppressed. What is HUGE is the fact that there is significant sound reduction on the 115 Gr. Suppressed. We are very happy with the continued development of our systems. Andy Fires the SEI Wind Talker on a 9mm Colt Submachine Gun

Andy Horton from SEI fires a Colt 9 mm sub machine gun with two different types of ammo in two different configurations (suppressed and unsuppressed).  He is using the highly acclaimed SEI Wind Talker Sound Suppressor.  Our sound suppressor is rebuildable and field cleanable.  Listen to the quality of the sound suppression even without using subsonic ammunition.
